David has about a total of 6 minutes screen time throughout the whole movie.

Think it's done to death because racism is still such a big thing in the US compared to the UK. US is about 40 years behind that regard.

Watching it now, my main take away so far is that Hill is looking old. He almost looks older than both sets of parents!
It's the beard I think mostly, I wouldn't say old though, he looks his age, 39. Plus putting all the weight back on, he lost loads before.

Watched this the other night, it's one of the worst films I've watched in a long time! Totally unsubtle and heavy handed with its 'message', the two main characters love story was actually quite sweet but it was just ruined by every other character being absolutely horrendous.
I thought for quite a while it was a bit of a parody, but the film is actually taking itself seriously? Jesus. Eddie's acting was probably the best, but what a horrible racist character? Then him and the moron mum have this massive turn around 3 months after breaking up the wedding, and then arrange a surprise wedding which they throw the couple straight into, I'm pretty sure the couple would need to work some stuff out and try and reconnect, what an odd, forced ending to a film.
If this is how black people actually act in America then it's got no hope basically, one scene I remember where she takes the mother-in-law-to-be to her hen party, as soon as she walked up to the group of black women, all smiling stops and the comment 'who is this white woman?', what the actual?
Overall 3/10, less focus on trainers, at least some attempt at subtlety and some acknowledgement of the bigotry of Eddie and most of the black characters and it could have been half decent.
