You should always buy a new controller.

Not all of, But a lot of your posts seem to be taking a troll turn lately. Are you extra grumpy these days?

I'll say my bit on the PS3 pad and FPS games. It works perfectly well. However I do feel the 360 pad is better for FPS games. But that's my opinion and in saying that I don't want to take anything away from the PS3 pad.

What we really need is a 3rd party controller that combines the triggers, feel and analogue stick position of the 360 controller with the d-pad of the PS3 controller and make it available for both consoles.

lol troll.

Troll? It's not like running it down just to annoy people. I have all current gen consoles and have hands on exp with Keyboard and Mouse. Wiimote and Numchuck, 360 pad and PS3 pad and the in my opinion the PS3 pad is the worse of the the lot for FPS. The Dpad is the best feature but that seems to be it.

Agreed

I find both the 360 and PS3 pads terrible for FPS shooters. If I had to choose which one to use to play a FPS, I'd go with the 360 pad. The analogue sticks on the PS3 pad feel looser to me. My thumbs are too twitchy.

Nothing will ever beat a mouse for precision aiming.

I wish consoles had mouse and keyboard support. People say it would give an unfair edge over Pad users but it's not like anyone would be stopping them from buying a keyboard and mouse.

If that happened i would be mortified, yes there's nothing stopping me from buying a keyboard and mouse but that doesn't automatically make me WANT to use it. I like sitting back on the sofa and relaxing with a wireless pad while knowing that everyone is playing on a level playing ground, i don't want to have to lean on a surface to play. Even in single player games on the PC i've recently taken to using a 360 pad instead of a keyboard and mouse, i just prefer the experience, i'm sure i'm not alone too.

You're not alone I prefer the use of a pad. I even prefer the DS3 over the 360 pad mainly due to how long Ive been using it + analogue location & L buttons. I'd much prefer to play Killzone 2 or COD4 online on PS3 over something similar on PC.

What if games were hosted as Keyboard and mouse setup or Pad setup?

PS3 and Xbox does have keyboard support but only for chat. UT3 (PS3) is the only FPS I know of that has both mouse and keyboard support.

It wouldn't hurt for developers to allow mouse/keyboard support for FPS games. Maybe just for SP only. If they allow it for mp, make it a filter.

They (Sony) should make controllers in different sizes, I would like my PS3 controllers to be just a little bit bigger.

I have had two controllers ever since I got a launch PS3 and they still work, is a DS3 that much better? (and as such worth the expensive pricetag)
