Young vs the old

The youngsters have their looks and health,
The oldies have their hard-earned wealth,
Each wants what the other has,
But life's not fair and so just as,
Time turns one into the other,
Both must face the truth as brothers,
Short and brutal, fast and hard,
Stop flaming mining with graphics cards!

Lol! Strong finish is strong!

I'm only 22 and the amount of 17/18 year olds we employ that do not care, stare at their phones 24/7, have no work ethic and are unbelievably rude actually scares me. They're only a couple of years younger than me, what on earth happened!?

Welcome to the future generation. People obsessed with validation from others due to social media which can lead to low levels of productivity.

Don’t forget the modern schooling environment as well of everyone being a winner and participation medals.

I don't think some realise that it's people born in the early 80s- to late 90's. You can be 30+ and still a millennial.

Though they do like to give a sub-categorisation to those of use that basically hit adulthood over the digital revolution.

Old millennials grew up with video games and the emergance of computers, but pre-internet. Basically the last generation to remember life before the internet. Us blessed few who embraced what were basically prehistoric memes, and were using the internet before social media existed, living in chatrooms and on forums.

You got older. Nothing else!

Listening to LBC this morning, it described the divide between the young and the old quite well, many of the older generation appear to believe the younger generation are stupid. Many of the younger generation think the older generation are stupid.

What is your experience?

It's the wrong question to ask, stupid comes in all shapes, size, gender, colour and age. A better question would be do you think the proportion of "stupid" amongst us is increasing? You have to wonder...
