Your 5 Greatest Tunes of all Time

#1 Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird
#2 Otis Redding - Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay
#3 Bill Withers - Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
#4 Jim Croce - You Don't Mess Around With Jim or Bad, Bad Leroy Brown
#5 The Cardigans - Losing My Favourite Game or maybe Kenny Rogers - The Gambler

#1 is the easy one as it is the greatest song of all time, as for the rest they are just the first 4 I thought of and will change probably every week but #1 remains and I suspect always will.

I like a lot of things, I'm just seeing as to what I haven't got and if there are things I haven't heard before.

The chart music in the last couple of weeks has been dire.

These are up there but I can pick 5 as my greatest ever.

The Killers - Mr Brightside

Played it a lot in Magaluf, brings back so many memories of singing it in the bars and playing it on the balcony having a drink, watching the sunset and having a drink. :(

Oasis - Live Forever
Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored
DJ Tiesto - Adagio For Strings (Awesome track that I can dance to for hours)

Huey Lewis - The Power Of Love

For numbers 1 through 5, the Power Of Love counts as all of them? :)

Just been listening to Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing so that would be in my top 10 at least. Actually I'd probably better stop otherwise I will be constantly changing what I have.

I've had a thought and I'll say that these are purely songs I could listen to repeatedly:

1. Anberlin - Ready Fuels
2. Coheed and Cambria - A Favor House Atlantic
3. Oasis - Morning Glory.
4. Minus the Bear - Pachuca Sunrise
5. Anberlin - The Runaways

(okay, i like anberlin rather a lot, it's obvious from my last.fm too)

:)

Amen brother, with you all the way on that one. :)

Too hard . . . but I'd say at the moment it'd be:

#1 - Duel With the Devil - Transatlantic
#2 - The Good Don't Last - Spock's Beard
#3 - Blackest Eyes - Porcupine Tree
#4 - Echoes - Pink Floyd
#5 - Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits (live version at Basel, about 20 minutes long :D )

#1 Manics - Faster
#2 GnR - Sweet Child O Mine
#3 Bob Marley - Redemption Song
#4 Flaming Lips - Do You Realize
#5 Radiohead - Exit Music

There are far too many to mention but these are the first that came to mind.

No particular order but:-

Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks
Faster - Manic Street Preachers
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Sunshine of your love - Cream
slight return - The Bluetones

That's today's top 5.

Well if someone said you are about to die and you have 5 songs to listen to it would be.

Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Queen - Brighton Rock
Def Leppard - Bringin' on the Heartbreak
Prodigy - Narayan

Would be completely different tomorrow

Man, there's plenty of them but these are what comes to head at the moment (in no particular order)

Hit 'em up - Tupac Shakur

Billie Jean - Michael Jackson

Dont stop till you get enough - Michael Jackson

Candy girl - New Edition

Hello - Lionel Ritchie

This is going to be tricky.

In no order...

Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Err. I can't rank anything alongside it, so its too hard for me as I would just say songs that I 'really like'.

Sigur Ros - Flugufrelsarinn
The Stone Roses - Where Angels Play
Primal Scream - Shoot Speed / Kill Light
Mogwai - Mogwai Fear Satan
Massive Attack - Group Four

Superman Lovers - Starlight

Possibly the best song ever written

Erasure/Wheatus - A Little Respect

Because it sticks in my head for weeks after I listen to it

Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme
The Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar
Robbie Williams - Let me Entertain You

(Very modern-heavy, but I haven't really put much thought into it)

1. Hoppipolla - Sigur Ros
2. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
3. First of the Gang to Die - Morrisey
4. Natures Law - Embrace
5. Riding on the Rocks - Katie Knight Adams

Thats my current top 5

Awesome, kudos on the journey - dont stop believin'

5 of my favourites would have to be

radiohead - fake plastic trees
led zeppelin - when the levee breaks
the cure - close to me
sublime - greatest hits
kings of leon trani

There are too many, those are just 5 of my current faves.
