Your best firefox addons?

Top 5 that I have are:
(ignoring Adblock, noscript and cooliris, as they should be in by default by now!)

1) Foxmarks- for synchronising your bookmarks across multiple machines, totally brilliant. :D

2) Web developer- helps you in web developing, duh :p

3) Firebug- also helps web developing, errors in javascript etc.

4) Image zoom- enables you to resize pictures on the fly, using your scroll wheel.

5) Download statusbar- minimizes downloads and gives info on d/l speed

Thanks, Ice Globe, for Smoothwheel, I've been wanting something like that for aaages

Install adblock plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
restart FF, then click this link. abp://subscribe/?location=http%3A%2F%2Feasylist.adblockplus.org%2Fadblock_rick752.txt&title=EasyList

hides all googleads and crap like that, and flash ad banners on all sites.

find a website that has banners on, and then compare it with Firefox and IE.

-pages load quicker
-no annoying ads
-less bandwidth used..

win/win/win

nice find, cheers :)

Foxmarks sits in the bottom right of your screen, and changes icon when a bookmark of yours is changed on that machine. You can either sync it manually (the best way, imho) as, depending on how many bookmarks you have, it can take a little while.
You start by creating a logon name and password, and for every machine you can either choose to have each machine separately (so it's more of a backup solution) or you can have every machine sync to the same bookmark file. It backs up every change you make when you sync so you can go back if anything bad happens.

I would say it is very useful to have, like today for example I have my main rig and my laptop both on, with a site on my main pc with a complex URL, which I wanted to get onto my laptop. In days gone by you would email it to yourself and open the email on the 2nd PC. Not anymore!

I bookmarked it (with tags for easy searching) on the 1st machine, synced that machine up to Foxmarks server, synced it down to my laptop, typed a few letters into the (awesome) URL bar in Firefox, and voila! site on my laptop, and backed up for future reference. :)

It will pause Firefox whilst it works (unless it does it in the background) and you can chose how to sync it (manually, in the background or when you close Firefox). It keeps your login information so you don't have to login everytime, if you don't want to.

It can also sync passwords too, securely, but I don't want it to, so it doesn't :p

The latest update has suggested tags, when you add a bookmark it will show you tags that are automatically relevant; genius! :D

I use Linux but the beauty of Firefox is that it doesn't matter what platform. :)
