** Your clubs Player of the Year 2009/10 Season **

Chelsea: Florent Malouda

Drogba and Lampard have been awesome as expected but Malouda has been a revelation this year. Don't know what caused his confidence to improve but let's hope it continues!

Liverpool

I'd agree, Reina.

Played well throughout the season, and if I was honest, one of the few Liverpool players that I actually think every other team in the League would like to have.

A player who really should get more of a chance of international recognition, but then with Iker Casillas I dont suppose that will happen. Not sure who is raising these Spanish goalkeepers , but with the likes of Casillas and Reina I wish they would come here and train some of our young english keepers.

Cesc obviously.

Most improved has to be Song, and best newcomer by a long long way is Vermaelen. They've been excellent this season and all three have had an effect this season.

Leeds United

Luciano Becchio

Very hard working and gets goals when we need them, even willing to get knocked out for the team!

My Team: Man Utd

My Player of the Season: Wayne Rooney

Need I say anything? :p

Other than Rooney though special mentions have to go to both Evra who's appeared in every single league game this season and has been brilliant in almost everyone of our games (it's only actually been since Rio and Vidic have got themselves back in the team that his performances have dipped slightly). Also Valencia, started off slowly but has grown into the season and we are now seeing loads of confidence in his performances, he's slightly gone off of the goal trail recently but considering he was getting 1 or 2 a season at Wigan getting 7 (I think) in all comps has to be considered a good return.

Agreed.

Team: Sheffield United

Player: Nick Montgomery.

A player that has no real technical ability, but if the other team has the ball; He WILL get it. If it wasn't for him, we would be much worse off than we are. He is the only player in our team at present that gives absolutely everything he has, all of the time.

Jamie Ward could have been close, but has spent a while out injured.

WE LOVE MONTY!

Team : Stoke City

Player: Matthew Etherington

Was a close call between Ryan Shawcross and matty but i went for matty.

His personal problems are well documented and he has got his head down and has been SUPERB for us this season. He is i think got the 6th highest amount of assists in the league (throw ins do not count :D) and his dribbling down the left has been a great outlet. Also added a few goals for us. Never played less than 100% effort.

Chelsea

TBC

If our Ashley hadn't have been injured he was nailed on for it as he was having a great season.
Now I'd go for either Malouda or Mikel.
Malouda has been fantastic at times and has unlocked defences with skill & pace in tight games and has proved that he is indeed a great player at last.
Mikel has been equally important but in that Makelele role, he's learnt how to always make himself available for a pass, hold the ball up and covers every area of his patch whilst snapping at opponents heels.
Props to Zhirkov too, thrown in at the deep end and is putting in a fine shift

:)

Fulham

I wanna say Zamora and Duff, but then the rest of the team deserves credit too really. But Zamora for all the criticism has just got on with is, turned down a move to Hull at the start of the season. When he was signed he was playing well, just the goals didn't flow. Now he is scoring and assisting and overall working for the team he's getting the credit he deserves.

Duff for the fact that he has started his whole career again, come straight into the team and doesn't look out of place at all, scoring goals and assisting. Gives 100% to each game, and is probably our second most important player.

Best thing about Spurs is for a change we actually have several players in for a shout :)

Bale, Lennon, Palacios, Dawson, Gomes, Modric

Bale has been immense for half a season, so has Lennon (I can't wait to see those two in full flight next season!) Gomes has really shown what a world class 'keeper he is but the respect I have for our water carrier Palacios is what shades it for me.

His arrival is the pivotal moment Spurs actually started to look a force on a regular basis. We've consistantly had the top 2nd or 3rd best defense all season. Our defenders take credit as does Gomes but we've had good defenders and 'keepers before. It's steel in midfield we've missed and now we have it.

Awesome player and he's consistantly good at what he does.

Wilson Palacios for me.

Team: Leeds United

Player: Patrick Kisnorbo

Why: Cause he's just simply the complete defender. We've not had him all season but we just look a completely different unit at the back when he's been there. Despite a rather topsy turvey season I think he's been the most consistent player and someone who will risk his own body for the good of 3 points. Well done paddy!

Notts County

Lee Hughes

Reminded me of what strikers do, score goals and hassle defences. Always gives a 100% even if at times it has cost him a booking, always looking to create something. 25 goals, about 7 assists and should be top goal scorer in league 2 with a bit of luck and should make the 30 mark. Plus with the amount of stick he has to put up with for his past he answers them back in the right way.

Fabregas for Arsenal. Bit of a waste of time writing that really as he's clearly been our best player and I've actually been quite staggered by how much difference he makes to the team. Everything seems to go through him and he is so much more incisive (especially with RvP) than everyone else who are good at keeping possession but often never quite deliver.

Vermaelen was the best newcomer this season.

Spurs again: instinct says Bale on recent memories, but after more consideration I'm between Dawson and Palacios. They've been there all season, doing what they do quietly while Bale, Defoe and now Rose take the headlines.

For the player he's become, I think Dawson shades it for me.
