You could just run the 2500K for so long and it be so valid, my wife went from the 4590k which is not THAT different to the Ryzen 7700 just because of the legs that design had.Intel Pentium 4 2.6Ghz
Intel i5 2500K (the GOAT)
AMD 5800X
My 2500K is still running just fine as a media PC recording TV shows (using NextPVR) and sending audio to remote devices (using Roon). You could just run the 2500K for so long and it be so valid, my wife went from the 4590k which is not THAT different to the Ryzen 7700 just because of the legs that design had.

My favorite of that kind of era was the XP mobile chips, they were essentially binned CPUs for about the same money, so I had a 2400XP mobile that did 2.4Ghz at the stock voltage.I was trying to think back to what CPU's I have had over the years, there is far too many to remember! I know I started at a 486DX4100 then had many Cyrix, AMD, and Intel chips over the years that followed!
The standout one in my memory was the Athlon that you had to colour in (with a pencil) to either enable or improve overclocking?!![]()
