Your CPU History Tree

Wow, I've had more CPUs than I thought :D

Intel 286 (8Mhz, 12Mhz in 'turbo mode' :D)
Intel 386 (16Mhz)
Intel 486DX (25Mhz)
Intel 486 with 586 overdrive (100Mhz)
AMD K6-II (450Mhz) - this was an amazing upgrade at the time!
AMD Athlon XP2100 Palomino (1733Mhz) - fast, but very warm.
AMD Athlon XP2500 Barton (1833Mhz) - first self-built PC. The chip which got me into overclocking, got it to 2400 on my trusty NF7-S if I remember rightly!
AMD Athlon XP2400/2500 Mobile (1800/1833Mhz) - had several of these. Ran the last couple at 2500-ish.
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester, socket 939 (2000Mhz)
AMD Opteron 146 (2000Mhz) - clocked it to 2900, nice chip.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (1866Mhz) - cracking little CPU, 66% overclock in minutes.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2400Mhz) - currently running at 3150. Still amazed at how much power this CPU has - getting on a bit now, but can't see me needing to upgrade for at least another year.

AMD K6-2 300mhz
PIII 500mhz
AMD AthlonXP 2400
AMD AthlonXP 1700
AMD AlthonXP-M 2500

C2d e6300

Dragon comp (not sure of processor, apparently Motorola MC6809E processor running at 0.89 MHz)
Intel 8086 V20 @ 8MHz (Amstrad PC1512)
Intel P4 2.53GHz (N/wood)
Intel P4 3.4GHz (N/wood)
Intel P4 3.0GHz (Prescott)
Intel E6600 @ 3.5GHz
Intel Q6600 @ 3.7GHz
Intel E8400 @4.2GHz
Intel Q9550 @ 4.0GHz
Intel Celeron 2.2GHz (small file server)

Too long ago to remember all, everything almost from the 286/386 days, even had oddballs like the AMD 486, Winchip and VIA MII etc... over the years. Computing has become rather boring for me with modern hardware hardly being a major gain over the last generation and overclocking hardly any noticeable gain in performance. I think the last time i saw any real super gain was from a K6-3+ 450 @ 620 to a Athlon Slot A 600 i think @ 850MHz and the platform itself was probably the main improvement bringer there.

Here goes:

BBC computer (not sure of processor)
Intel 286 (10Mhz)
Intel Pentium 133Mhz
Intel Pentium 4-M 1.6Ghz (laptop)
Intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz HT (Northwood)
AMD 3200+ Winchester (2.0ghz)
AMD 3700+ San Diego (2.2ghz)
AMD 3800+ Venice (2.4ghz)
AMD X2 4400+ Toledo (2x 2.2ghz)
Intel E6400 (2x 2.13Ghz)
Intel Q6600 (4x 2.4ghz)

I've made some massive leaps along the way! And I was only born in 1985, so I missed out on some true gems...
