You don't know that Facebook is evil?

Generally I don't use it much and I wouldn't want it forced into my phone like that.

I agree with you for the record, I don't use Facebook, don't understand it and don't want to (no I'm not a pensioner, just a fairly private person!) but you don't have to use it on WP7, to be honest I've not noticed it at all.

I'm pretty sure the aspects of Facebook that are baked into the OS only really make an appearance when you add a Facebook account to it.

That's correct. You don't need to add FB at all. What i like is that it gives me all the information i usually get from FB in a nice little stream rather than the full site which is a bit of a pain. It's also much easier to navigate than the main site imo.

If you don't use facebook then WP is still a great OS although i would say the main selling point at the moment is that FB, LinkedIn and Twitter are nicely integrated.

The issue at the moment is the lack of big name apps. There are thousands of apps with lots of choice however big companies are taking their time putting out WP apps. This will change over time but you're probably best waiting a year until moving to WP if you are really into your apps.

Also, my friend was asking how she can put a Swype type keyboard on here WinMoPho... she can't. How can she record an interview on her WinMoPho... she can't. A little too 'Apple' in their control perhaps?

**EDIT** Sorry, I realise I'm going pretty hugely off topic :(

No Swype app yet but apparently there is one on Symbian made in conjunction with Nokia so i would expect one sooner or later.

As for interviews...there are plenty of voice recorders? Or maybe i have misunderstood what you mean?

Its literally on "on off switch" weather you share you contacts or even log in to FB, if you dont log in that part of the "people" menu shows nothing, you dont have to activate it or use it.

Sorry, I wasn't clear on the interview one, an interview conducted on the phone itself. Microsoft are locking down 'root' like features. There wont be a Swype app, if M$ don't allow it. I don't think you can replace the stock keyboard, which I feel is pretty poor :(
