Im glad someone else said this cause i was reading this thread and thought hang on were is streets of rage, what a great game i am trying to track the 3rd one down as i have the other 2,

if anyone has it and wants to get rid of it email me

I may have it on a Genesis emu, did you want the original?

I tell you what else i miss, the fact that when you got good at a game you got better value for money.

Only a single 20p you could go through the entire game in one go, if you had the skill, either a platformer, shooter or racer. You don't seem to get that these days no matter how good you are.

I do remeber playing Tekkan 2 (or was it 3) and playing as Barak and using his 10 hit combo to complete the game, had quite a crowd watching me as well, tried to look nochalant as i won it and walked away. (They didnt need to know i played it extensivly on import via a mate before the arcade machine turned up)

That was a cool thing about arcades in those days. There was often a name you'd see at the number one spot on certain machines and they became like a silent celebrity.

Once we were in the arcade and some whizz at Track and Field, who was known, was on the machine. We all crowded round and watched. An hour later we were all bored. I swear he was too.

Oh, anyone remember these?

Probably Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles! ...
We'd also spend lots on Golden Axe and Final Fight!

Haha, spot on. I remember me and my bro started playing that once and the machine must have been bugged because we had infinite lives, we must have been on it for ages, even managed to complete it.

I also really liked that space one, cant for the life of me remember what it was called but you sat in a big sorta cockpit thing and blew things up. (descriptive I know)

All time favourite though has to be Time Crisis 2.

**edit** oops forgot about the 80's thing, I’ll go with turtles :p

I loved powerboat! Great fun two player. Pity it took ages to load from tape :( You hear people complaining how a game like BF2 these days takes a few minutes to load a map - they obviously never owned a spectrum!!

Ignore please. The sit in vector graphic variety is the best.

EDIT: I win Sweet! Suck on that one! :)

Ahhhaaa, but read the thread title:

your favorite 80s or 90s arcade game

We never had the sit in one round our way so it was never my favourite.

So consider that one sucked and spat back IN YOUR FACE :D

Robocop arcade machine.

I thought it was magic after realising the difference between that and my CPC.

So, I bugged my folks to get me Robo for the CPC. Whaaaat a difference!

At the time, that game was seriously sought after by kids with their 8-bit machines from what I remember.

awesome - takes me back 2 the olds days loving it tbh guys
