Yep, Lateralus is by far my favorite album. Absolutely timeless and it just sucks you in. Also in regards to the "holy gift" ive got it set as a playlist on my ipod hehe.

you have the 'modern' stuff bagged. My older favs are Black Celebration and Some Great Reward and Music for the Masses. 101 is worth a live pick up too.

There is something about Depeche Mode.

I dont know how to expain it.

Even tho they are very much an 80's band, and the music sounds very 80's it has a very modern feel to it.

Fractured and electronic like our modern societies.

Also being a bit of a metal head, its very refreshing to listen to something pop/electronic....
