Your First Concert

I'm probably looking through rose tinted glasses as i was a wee lad but i remember Di'Anno being bloody brilliant. :)

di'anno was brilliant, an incredible front man. shame he didn't look after himself and burnt out.

looks like he never really looked after himself later either

Polysics, Brighton 2004.

Was a pit but not a particularly violent one if you get me, they're a J-Pop/Rock band. Basically the Japanese Devo they have been called.

My friends and I were really anxious about jumping in but as soon as I did, they all came following. Probably one of the best small gigs I've ever been to as it was mostly teens my age at the time (16-17)

Lots of fun and they played my favourite song at the end of theirs. Black Out Fall Out :)

Can someone please explain the appeal of mosh pits to me? I don't enjoy being hurt by things, so assume it's all masochists in there?

i went to see a band called staind in july 2001 at the rock n roll hall of fame and experienced my first mosh pit. was a little bizarre considering the rest of the museum was still open and members of the public going up the elevators must've witnessed some right carnage.

I can't remember, it was either Supergrass or Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes. Both blew my mind, and changed my life, in either 2001 or 2002. Wow, it feels so long ago, now. :(

The most affecting and influential concert I have attended was on Halloween in 2003, when I went to see Tommy Emmanuel for the first time. My life was set on a trajectory on that evening, and I often wonder what I would be doing now, had I decided not to go (as I almost did).

Ozzfest - Milton Keynes Bowl - 2001 (14 at the time!). Such an awesome line up.

Last gig was The Prodigy 'Worlds on Fire Tour' July 2011.

Going to the first day of download on 8th June.
