thinking back , what is the earliest memory you can remember having?

for me - getting sent out of assembly when i was about 5 or 6.

Putting my head and hands on the top step, and rolling over. My brother and I used to do it all the time, until he busted his nose on the child gate at the bottom. No idea why the gate was closed, since we were already UP the stairs.

I think it was 64mb of PC100

I had this discussion with my mother some time ago and I described a memory of playing with a toy donkey that had staples pinning it's fur to it's body. She told me that the donkey was a present for me from her and dad upon returning from a holiday in Spain. I had stayed with my grandparents in the UK. She told me that I was two at the time, and that because of the loose staples, the donkey ended up in the bin pretty quickly. Not many people remember stuff from being two, but I'm special. :p

I met jimmy saville when I was 2, He let me play with his sock puppet

Why's the OP making these 2 question threads anyway? seems utterly bizarre ?????

When you touched the puppet, was it sick on your hand ?

No my face, Jimmy apologised and told me "nigel" was a very naughty boy but we couldn't blame him because he was ill and it wasn't his fault, it was mine for shaking him so violently and making him sick.

jimmy told me it would be our little secret so I wouldn't be in trouble with the nurses and miss out on icecream and jelly

Oh dear. Sock puppets are always problematic. My uncle's was forever being sick on me. I think they're lactic intolerant because the sick was always white and milky. Oh god, how I miss those innocent childhood days with uncle Cletus and his sickly puppet. Happy times.

Are you absolutely sure that you have not heard the story before (in your entire life, I mean) and you have somehow imagined it without actually fully remembering the moment?

I thought I "remembered" my house from when I was 3/4 years old, but whenever I look at pictures I seem to realise that my "memories" are very likely almost completely fabricated after seeing these pictures, videos and hearing other people talk about times when we were there.

Quite honestly, I'm not 100% it's not a fabricated memory. I've read about how the brain can invent things that we interpret mistakenly as memories. I can still see the image of the donkey in my mind as I type, but maybe it's not a real memory like you say. Who knows ? Seems real to me.
