Thats another 3 for No Game/Nothing. Its steaming toward the top, could be the number 1 choice for Overclockers for the 2nd year running !

And Baldurs Gate 3, Sons of The Forest, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Stalker 2, Diablo 4, Starfield and hopefully Warhammer Roguetrader. Surely got to be something in that little lot for everyone

Mind you, it does mean that this year has been better than last year, last year No Game/Nothing came top , so it dropping to 2nd could be see to be an improvement

Elden Ring was mine, although as I mentioned earlier, God of War would have been mine if Elden Ring hadnt then come out this year. Was a close run thing between those two for me but the size and scope of Elden Ring, plus the co-op side of it, tipped it for Elden Ring

basically it's almost perfect at doing what it set out to do, but it's not a large complex AAA RPG. If pushed for a big AAA title it'd be Elden Ring but it has it's issues

Dorfromantik is excellent, I've put dozens of hours into that since it first started early access. Its a superb chillout game

If a game gets released on say December 23rd, that's just 7 days for it to be played and added to the list as best game of the year.

For instance, cyberpunk came out 10/12/2020. So a game like would not realistically get high up on the poll, and then be disocunted for the following one.

It could really do with being the start December 2021 to end of November 2022, and then in December 2022 voting starts, though appreciate the poll is just for a bit of fun and curiosity.

Yeah its really just about curiosity and maybe to see some titles that I might have missed in the year. The rules are merely the rules I've always used for my own judgement.

Added one to Vampire Survivors for you. I really ought to give the game a go, seems to be very popular. The aesthetics have always put me off but maybe I should put that to one side and give it a go

I came at it as a 90's kid from a nostalgic viewpoint who had recently got my 8 year old boy into TMNT so that helped too, but it was blooming fantastic!

Not heard of it but looking at Steam its certainly got a high score !
