And Baldurs Gate 3, Sons of The Forest, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Stalker 2, Diablo 4, Starfield and hopefully Warhammer Roguetrader. Surely got to be something in that little lot for everyoneNext year we will have hogwarts legacy, and the latest Bethesda game. Those surely will be worthy of top spot and push down no game/nothing. Hopefully
And to be fair, Sloclap is a great name for a DeveloperSifu. Exciting, original, cool, deep, hard to master, fun to learn. Elden Ring is an (imo inferior) remake of Dark Souls 3, so meh.
Here's a reveiw from somebody who also gets it
Or it indicates what a miserable impossible to please bunch of sods we are on OCUKthe fact that no game/nothing is coming 2nd to elden ring, just shows how bad games have been these last 3 or more years at least
Elden Ring was mine, although as I mentioned earlier, God of War would have been mine if Elden Ring hadnt then come out this year. Was a close run thing between those two for me but the size and scope of Elden Ring, plus the co-op side of it, tipped it for Elden RingI hadn't noticed you say what is yours @Tombstone
Oh I dont stream, I'd bore people senselessDid you get much time to stream it?
Was released in October 20222022 release?
Heard a lot about that but never tried it myselfIsonzo
Dorfromantik is excellent, I've put dozens of hours into that since it first started early access. Its a superb chillout gameslightly oddball one, it's Dorfromantik
basically it's almost perfect at doing what it set out to do, but it's not a large complex AAA RPG. If pushed for a big AAA title it'd be Elden Ring but it has it's issues
Not a 2022 release so unfortunately I cant add it to the listCyberpunk 2077
Yeah its really just about curiosity and maybe to see some titles that I might have missed in the year. The rules are merely the rules I've always used for my own judgement.Realising now the potential error with the current timing you set.
If a game gets released on say December 23rd, that's just 7 days for it to be played and added to the list as best game of the year.
For instance, cyberpunk came out 10/12/2020. So a game like would not realistically get high up on the poll, and then be disocunted for the following one.
It could really do with being the start December 2021 to end of November 2022, and then in December 2022 voting starts, though appreciate the poll is just for a bit of fun and curiosity.
Well God of War does count, so nerElden Ring was fantastic technical issues aside, it felt like a proper adventure and left a pretty big gap for me that nothing could fill for a while.
God of War as also excellent, but I would agree that it's been around for a while so shouldn't really count.
Honestly, looking at the amount of fun I've had, time spent playing, value and just how much content there is, Vampire Survivors has to take it for me. Totally addicting, hence why I'm posting this late into the night
Not heard of it but looking at Steam its certainly got a high score !Shredders Revenge. It's hard for a game within the genre to compete with other AAA games as they are shorter and slightly limited by their very nature. But everything was spot on from the visuals, audio and gameplay perspective.
I came at it as a 90's kid from a nostalgic viewpoint who had recently got my 8 year old boy into TMNT so that helped too, but it was blooming fantastic!
