Looking at a 6700 xt or something from Nvidia, as I've been playing around with Daz3d, but I can't really afford a worthwhile upgrade from Nvidia really. It'd need to be 12+ GB of ram and a decent uplift in performance like the 6700xt for around the price of a 6700xt.

Probably forgetting bits but the earliest was S3 stuff with a Matrox something and Voodoo.. banshee?

Currently sitting on the 3080 until it's not able to reach 60 frames at a decent picture quality/resolution after playing with settings. Anything Nvidia (4080,4090) is still stupid money. On the AMD side it'd probably be the 7900 XTX but again still not ready to commit.

Not going to lie, kind of amazes me the amount of people who are willing to drop £2000 on a GPU (4090) Kind of saddening that that is now the baseline norm, wasn't long ago a top tier GPU was £600. But to each their own, I cant control the market sadly.

That is the extent of my GPU history. Next card will only likely be when I next replace the PC, which isn't likely to be for about 18 months or so, and any ne card will be around the same level at the time (ie £300 or so).
