Sorry for starting a new thread, my options were set to limit the number of threads displayed so I couldn't go as far back as that one. Maybe I should learn to use the search function

Jeez, that's quite the leap from the 660M to triple Titan X's.

Quick question - what do you use the third 1080 for given only 2-way SLI is supported?

Yeah, perks of finally finishing uni and earning monies. However, still useful for when I was doing my PHD and using some applications that can make use of multiple gpus outside of SLI modes.

Though for gaming normally third 1080 card is set to manage the Physx.

Lots of really random integrated GPUs, then
GT 540M
GT 740M
GTX 760
GTX 760 SLI
GTX 760
then GTX 1070 when my order arrives mid way through this month

- Nvidia Geforce 2

- Nvidia Geforce 4 mx440

- Ati Powercolour x800pro loved this card but started artifacting a year in and had to be replaced, My first properly custom built PC, got it christmas 2004 same time as HL2.

- Ati HIS x800XL was the replacement which imo was a downgrade. Had slightly higher memory but lower core clock. Nicer dual slot cooler mind.

- HIS x1950pro AGP edition, didn't really synergise nicely with my P4 3.0Ghz. Never got the most out of it

- Nvidia Asus 8800gts 640mb, the one with the ghost recon logo on the cooler. Absolute beast. really felt like next gen, that coupled with my E6750. Ran games perfect at the time.

- Powercolour Ati 4870 512mb, good little card, clocked nicely. Ended up modding the bios to a slightly higher clocked asus one.

- B-Grade Nvidia MSI 460GTX Cyclone. D.O.A.

- Nvidia Gigabyte Superoverclock 560ti 1gb, awesome card, done me well when I moved to a i72600k, the E6750 was starting to show its age and was holding this one back even overclocked.

Ended up going SLI 560 SOCs, too much heat what with them not being reference blower designs in an old Antec 900. Sold one and the other is still in my old mans machine.

- Nvidia EVGA 780 3GB Reference design - Overclocked like a monster.

- Nvidia 2x EVGA 980 4GB SC Reference cards - Can't fault them , I think SLI has worked great on them.
