Your GPU history

S3 Trio (came installed in my first PC in 1997)
Matrox Mystique
Matrox Mystique 220 (Warranty replacement for the first one)
3Dfx Voodoo Banshee
3Dfx Voodoo 3 2500
Nvidia Riva TNT2 Ultra (Had for 3 weeks and sold at a profit to CEX!)
Nvidia GeForce 256DDR
Nvidia GeForce 2 Pro
Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4400 (First card I modded - had a passive Zalman cooler)
Nvidia GeForce FX5950 Ultra (Biggest mistake ever!)
Nvidia GeForce 6800GT
Nvidia GeForce 7800GTX
Nvidia GeForce 7800GTX SLI
Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX
ATI 4870
ATI 4870 X2 (had to turn the radiator off in the room with this one!)
AMD 5850
AMD 7970
Nvidia GeForce GTX1080 (Inno3d X3 - had it one day and am stunned by the performance)

I started with Voodoo 1 that my parent bought for me then I bought my first PC with 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee i think that about the same time as your TNT 1 .

The thing that gets me about this thread is the thousands and THOUSANDS of pounds spent on GPU's. lol

I sell my GPU's before upgrading, so all those GPU's I have had probably have cost me way less than £1000 over the years.

Occasionally I even make a profit.

Say my 1070, the sale of my 295x2 is paying for it and I still got £60 left over :D

My introduction to ATI was 3D Rage back in 1996 when parents bought an IBM aptiva =p
I have used ATI/AMD ever since so I have lost control how many cards I have had on different systems. But I remember these:

3D Rage
Rage 128
All-in-Wonder 9800
Radeon X1900
Radeon VE/7000
Radeon HD 2600
Radeon HD 4890
Radeon HD 5870
Radeon R9 290X
2x Radeon R9 Fury X

nVidia Riva TNT64
nVidia GT210 (I think!)
nVidia GTX650
Asus NVidia 970 Mini CU
Asus NVidia 970 Mini CU (in SLI with above)

GTX1080 on order to replace the two 970 cards... but it's taking so long I'm tempted to cancel and wait for what's coming next.

How do you find the Fury X CF? I currently have a pair of 290X in CF and am thinking about getting a pair of Furies to replace them, as the RX480 doesn't quite cut the mustard.

Hi, Im very happy with it. I play on a 4k 40" 60Hz monitor (BDM4065UC) and can play every game on ultra settings with no problems. Im waiting for Vega and Zen before I upgrade again. Lets hope Vega is good at 4k.
