Your ignore list

Nobodies ****ed me off enough to get on my list yet. Also whats the point of an ignore list, unless your being stalked or bullied. This is a forum, it's sole purpose is for people to voice their opinions about **** they no nothing about lol

Can you put the mods on ignore? I don't want to, I'm just curious if you can. I imagine it would make your ban more ... surprising?

You can't ignore Dons or above and as far as I'm aware they can't choose to ignore your posts - however they can just ban you. Underbosses can still ignore people and be ignored I believe, in fact I know they can be ignored. :D

There was some poster the other week who claimed I followed him around and argued with him (not those words exactly) but I asked him for evidence and he couldn't provide any and he said he would put me on ignore instead (forgot who it was).

It was LOAM because you made a signature asking him to provide evidence. That short term memory starting to fade in your old age? :p

I can't say I've ever been tempted to add anyone to the proper ignore list although there are certain people who are on a sort of mental ignore list so I tend to skim their posts, especially on particular topics.

Don't use it because it's a crap feature, if it removed the posts completely then maybe I would use it but instead it just makes a mess of threads.

Besides that, when everyone else starts replying to someone and the thread goes off topic anyway, you may as well have not bothered in the first place.

That's me sorted :)

That would be a pretty neat feature if we could all delete each others posts.
I'm sure we'd all use it responsibly.

compboyo

His excessive use of lol infuriates me  I recently removed him because I enjoy reading what people reply to his daily useless threads :p

There is only one person on mine, as well. I don't mind reading posts that I disagree with, but sometimes someone can say something so unbelievably stupid, and think that they have just made an intellectually credible statement. And then they can do it again... And again... AND AGAIN. And as if to top it off, they casually seem to miss the countless posts asking for some kind of evidence to support said stupid statement(s).

But I agree with the above comments, ignore should totally remove a member's presence for all intensive purposes, for the ignorer. It's annoying that you can still see when they have posted, but for some people, it's a price worth paying. :p

None on my ignore list. There have been people that almost made me add them but in the end I decided not to, and if I don't want to read something from a person I can simply choose to scroll past it.

Dickyb0b, ^TANK^, TangoSixteen, kwerk and a couple of others (racists, mostly) have almost ended up on there before now, but then I realised the forum would be boring. That and once they were safely ignored I'd feel obsessively compelled to reveal and read their posts if I saw they'd contributed to threads anyway. :p

Not delete, just hide, but hide properly.

I can't stand threads littered with the little bar you get

This post has been hidden because dmpoole is on your ignore list

If I wanted to ignore you that much that I would add you to a list, I would rather it actually ignored you and removed your posts totally from my view, rather than doing little more than just collapsing them all into a slightly smaller space.
