Just looking for a quick summary of peoples broadbands to see how much I, in Guernsey, am being ripped off.

I currently pay £24.99 for 2mb ADSL, although this is being doubled from May 1st to 4mb. The service however is very good and I regularly download at 260kb, so I can't complain really.

How about the rest of you?

Edit: We are on a 40:1 contention ratio, we could get 20:1 Contention at 8mb for £49.99 a month.

Not sure, I pay £70pm for HDTV with the ability to record and all catch up services, an extra box that isn't HD, the phone and 20MB broadband,

Think the majority of the bill comes from the TV package though

£7.50 for 8Mb ADSL2+ with O2, they do 16Mb and 24Mb packages for a tiny bit more but it's pointless here as we can't get anything above 7Mb.

Around £20 for 4 meg here, we were paying £26 for 2meg up until a couple of months ago. We live in a town but the line is terrible (we only live around a mile from the exchange as the crow flies) so that's all we'll get with our "up to 20mb service"...

At peak times we are lucky if we can stream iPlayer normally as well...

For 8meg BB (sync at around 8 throughput 90%) inclusive uk calls to landlines 24/7 and inclusive international calls 24/7, i pay £24 per month. I'm happy but i'm sure there's better deals around.

BT up to 8mb (100gb d/l per month), not sure on the price but it's bundled with the phone line, I think my average d/l speed is about 2.5mb but recently every speed test site I've visited has given me a different d/l speed, anything from 1mb to 7mb so I've got no idea what I'm actually getting now.

Be*, £12 a month for up to 24meg, static IP, no download limits.
Sync at 16meg, regularly download at 1.1mbps.

You're not going to beat that.

Tenner a month for Sky Broadband Unlimited.

Up to 20mb service, i'm on around 7mb which is about as good as i can get on my phone line, and 2mb faster than any of my previous ISPs could manage.

£7.50pm for O2 Premium, friends and family offer otherwise it'd be £10pm (O2 mobile customer). Synced at 16Mb, unlimited usage (gets used a lot), flawless service, no complaints whatsoever.

Up to 20mb with O2 here, no download limits. Costs £9.79/month as an O2 customer, got the first 3 months free and £75 back from Quidco, so £15 or so for the year. Speeds vary, but tend to go between "fast" and "really damn fast", can usually get 2MB/sec on downloads with the exception of a few hours in the early evening.

We do live almost on top of the exchange, which probably helps, but I can't fault them for anything so far - even send texts a few days in advance to apologise for any upcoming work which may have an effect, which makes a nice change from trying to chase up Virgin to find out why nothing was working..

same here except i get about 8mb, there's also no download limits with sky either

after endless rage at NTL / Virgin, i pay.
£54.50 a month for
XXL Broadband (50MB)
XL Phone (Land Line)
XL TV Pack, all chans but movies and sports.
x2 V+ Boxes

(i may pay an extra £5 per month though for the second box)

My bill WAS £103 a month.

£15 for o2 20mb (sync at 20,500kbps). oddly enough, since i got this unlimited connection i hardly use it compared to what i did on my old capped 8mb service from ukfsn.
