Your Mac!

No pictures, my MBP is in its box waiting for collection for its third and final trip back to Apple.

Logicboard failed after 7 days, went away for a fortnight, had it back 7 days and the left I/O port failed. Went back a second time for 7 days, last week it started the CPU whine, stamped my feet a little bit and they agreed to replace it. Bought it at the begining of April so its spent nearly half its sorry little life being thrown around in the back of couriers vans and being ripped apart.

I'm on my second iMac in as many weeks too. First one arrived opened and used with a dead pixel (pretty sure I paid for a new one). Thats waiting with the MBP to go backfor a refund as I bought a replacement iMac from different store.

How much fun?

1 dead pixel? Thats pretty good considering most companies will only consider swapping it if there are 3 or more dead pixels!!!

I think Apple are like everyone else, its only faulty with a number of dead pixels. I sent it back under the distance selling regulations as unwanted, didn't even mention the pixel. Just told them I didn't want it.

As the box had previously been opened I got the £60 collection fee waived :)

Sounds logical. One thing for sure - the new Mac Minis crush the old ones.

That they do :)

I bought my Mini a couple of weeks ago in Seattle. I messed about with it a bit sitting next to my friend who was using her G4 Mini - the difference was pretty significant :D

Sorry to go OT but do you think the 20" display is really worth £500?

The pics are great and I'm glad somone has done this :)

I will post some pics of my mac mini in a mo :D

Its worth the money since I only paid £410 for it, some guy was selling it when I was at uni, so I thought it would look good with my PC.

I'm a real sucker for stuff from Apple plus it didn't really want a Dell which in the end was about £10 more expensive in the end

Anyways I can always sell it my brother as he's a Graphic Designer

It can be stickied until the Mac sticky is done (assuming that's still going to happen). At that point, a link can be added to the Mac sticky. Don't want to have more than three stickies. :)
I'm working on a mega-sticky mate :)

Must have about 3 posts worth so far.. might go over and trim it though?

OK. Sorry I couldn't find a clean way to separate out the images, so I've started a new thread and stuck it for now (above).

Read the rules, then post away. :)
