Your Most Anticipated PC Game of 2006?

Hellgate, i played a download of that some months back, it looked alright gfx wise but the FPS feel to it wasn't so good and the guns weren't too good. The enemy AI was crap don't expect FEAR style. Same with their movement, very old style and crapply animated when you kill them etc. I got half way through game before I could take no more.

Stubbs the zombie - i completed this about a month ago, its quite a fun game with unique attacks and making your own zombie armies is quite fun. You can use them to get them to attack or use them as a shield etc. Only downside is the Halo engine used, makes the gfx look a little dated and all cars/vehicles has that flaoting effect because Halo's vechicles hovered, and erm so do jeeps and such in Stubbs.

Its quite a short game so doesn't get boring, if it was any longer it'd get tiresome. It's a fun game, well worth buying :) Best parts are the dialogue

arm gets chewed off: 'oh no my penis! i mean arm!!'
'ohh my arm, how will i juggle again!'

and many more, best animation part is the gas bot filing a car with fuel, am sure you can see the innuendo, a robot screwing a car with its well placed fule nozzle :) genious!

ah its fun if your not expecting much from it. gfx are outdated and the vehciles move terribly, but your not in them too much. the novelty value of turnining people into zombies and killing people by throwing yoru spline at them and farting is what keeps the game going, that with the comic lines in it.

The official trailors have been rendered quite nice too (not the in game ones the proper fmv ones).

Soundtrack is excellent too, if only you could play the songs during game play would have made it miles better, as the sound is quite lacking in the game, be good to tap ta foot along to 'mr sandman' while eating cops!

im looking forward to Guild Wars Factions. Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion looks interesting too but i'm not sure if i like the first person perspective.

quake wars seems to be shaping up nicely too

edit: battlestations midway

You should be able to change view to 3rd person like in Morrowind.

Supreme Commander
DEFCON
Act of War addon
C&C - First Decade
Hitman: Blood Money

For now those are the only ones I am interested in. I'll probably try a few others when they come out and good reviews are given.

it does look impressive as a tech demo but a good engine doesn't mean a good game. fingers crossed tho.

i enjoyed parts of farcry but the bulk of it was rather repetitive. the indoor sections were particularly bland and the mutant creatures were simply rubbish. hopefully crytek have learnt a few things over the past couple of years and will make a faboulous game to go with that stunning engine.
