I'm looking to replace my Pixel 6 but not sure what to go for. I'm considering going Apple for the first time ever, but I really don't think I could cope with that OS.

Anyone else planning an upgrade, and if so what have you got your eye on?

A foldable of some sort. Will rock my Pixel 6 Pro until the Pixel 8 release and see what options there are.

Probably the Galaxy Fold 5 or the rumored Pixel Fold.

I went from android to apple on my last upgrade and don't regret it. I came to the conclusion that android nowadays isn't what it used to be and if you buy from a bigger company you're just as "locked down" as iOS.

Therefore having the single eco system where things just works is the better choice of the two (as all the various flavours of hardware and software on android makes some apps crud)

It depends how you use your phone. I view phones as a white goods that need to work and work well without any messing around right from the get go so I have an iPhone. I’ve never regretted owning one and I particularly like how the Apple ecosystem works together.

I went from S6 (~£600) to S10 Lite (~400) a while back. I defo didn't want to spend £600 again. S10 Lite has been a great phone.

The newer models are called "FE" now, so I'd be considering those. I'd also consider the equivalent from the A series, e.g. A53. Then I'd just compare them on gsmarena and see what offers best bang-for-buck at the time. I wouldn't really want to spend over £400.

I'm a very light user, PAYG @ £1/month, it's basically an expensive mp3 player and whatsapp device. I would probably be fine with an entry-level phone, but I can't stand underpowered tech.

The next iPhone, depending on the colours, price and what it’ll offer over the 12 Pro Max.

If it doesn’t offer much, I’ll likely have the battery done and keep the 12. That’s the only problem I have with it now, it doesn’t last me the whole day

I'll keeping my S20FE 5G until somebody does a foldable with a decent camera setup.

A flip type fold with ultrawide to x10 zoom would do me nicely :)

Love my S22 Ultra - definitely a great upgrade from the S10+!

As for what next....I guess maybe the S25 (or whatever it will be) but don't see me changing for 3 years as the differences just aren't enough to warrant it. Maybe if something revolutionary comes out then maybe but really don't see that happening unless foldable devices significantly improve. Still can't stand the crease of the Fold 3 and even after a few mins in the shop became annoying but if they can somehow erase that and make them more durable then maybe. I'd prefer a slightly wider form factor of the device when closed as well on the next generation Fold.

I've been using Oneplus Nord for 2years. Been on adnroid for a while. Next phone will be iPhone 14. Going back to Apple

Switched over to S21U after Note10+ few months ago and like it, however, do miss the stylus. Try and resist the urge to get S22U and see what next iteration offers.

No way I'm going down the iOS route. Nothing against Apple per se, just that Android does everything I want and need with more flexibility than iOS and more interesting hardware to choose from.

I am interested in the Macbook over a Windows laptop however.

Sticking with the Pixel 6 pro, untill a solid option comes available. Do have my eye on the Xiaomi 12s Ultra.

I recently moved from an iMac to a custom PC, so moving from iPhone to Android. I’m specifically after a phone that gives me access to all the Google services with no bloat. My phone needs are simple but I do like a good camera. So going for a Pixel 6a. It’s the right size, minimal clean software and has a good camera. Will stick with this phone until Google bring out their next small phone.

What's happening with your Pixel 5. Not had that long have you :p

I'm surprised you want to move on from the 6 already, I have the 6 Pro and I plan to keep this for at least a couple of years.

Next phone I want it to be a foldable. Mainly so it can work as both a phone and a mini tablet, I miss the Nexus 7. I do have the S5e but it's a bit large for my liking and recent smaller tablets don't have enough grunt.

But if foldables aren't ready (as in me-proof, I'm a bit clumsy), then a Pixel, maybe a 5 series Sony, or even Nothing if they can prove themselves by then.

I'm on my Pixel 3 XL still. It still works great and has an awesome camera, battery is fine. Main issue is it's no longer getting security updates.

I keep debating what to go for.... I want as many years security updates as possible.... So Apple wins there. I don't like the way Apple try and get their hooks in and push you into the whole ecosystem though.

Nokia Xr20, Sony Experia 10 IV, Pixel 6a are options.

I may just try installing LineageOS n my Pixel though to get security updates.
