Your OhNoSecond

I've had a few oh no moments on my eMTB.

One, these two lads were behind me. I came up to a bit I usually get off and walk the bike down as its 45 degrees or more and rooty especially on my hard tail.

This time I went balls deep and sent it. As I got 3/4 of the way down my back wheel bounced up and I saw the ground coming towards my face. Wipe out.
Got up the lads checked I wad OK. I was more worried about the bike.

Didn't ride for a few months after that! :D

Gone over the bars 3 times now. 1 caused me to get a new helmet.

My Son wanted me to take him to bed on my shoulders.
I forgot to warn him about the door frame.
I then decided to do a horsey type bounce....
I heard the sound of his head hit the doorframe.....
At that point, I said OH NO.
However.... Even though he fell off onto the sofa next to the door... and was holding his head.... and i was seeing it all in slow motion readying myself for the screaming and the telling off from the wife... the 3 yr old just started laughing and called me a silly daddy.

Turns out... 3yr old boys are hard as nails.

I still cringe at an incident I saw on the monorail at Alton Towers in the 90s.
A father was running with his child and smacked their head straight into concrete.
The child was spark out and seriously hurt but luckily there were many Clinical staff in that queue, I never found out what happened to the child.

Last Wednesday, I woke up at 3.30am to leave for my trip to Spain. Was careful not to wake my wife and kids. Left house, shut front door, and posted keys through letterbox as I didn't need them.

Realised I had left my phone in the house, and now had no keys, so had to ring the doorbell, waking everyone up.

Not ideal.

Gave me a flashback moment.

My daughter when she was a baby used to the love bouncy thing that you had hung on the door frame. Bungee cord from door and she would use her legs to bounce off the ground.

There's me thinking i could make it better and so wound her up like a watch and watched her spin. Lots of giggles until she started bouncing off the door frame like a pinball bumper.
How many points did you get :D .

Just finished charging the ebike, disconnected charger from mains and ebike, about to put charger in its usual home and the three pin plug drops off my hand and into the middle of a bucket of fishtank water.

Will be giving that a good dry with a towel, including emptying the fuse cavity and then letting everything dry overnight before trying to use that again!

Had a new orbea mtb delivered last Thursday.
Decided to flash the firmware, during it I altered how the handlebars are orientated and sheared the control cable that goes to the motor, bricked the update.
I'd forgotten that everything routes internally on it.
Had to reflash the whole thing and get a new shimano cable delivered, a lucky escape really.
Bloody tech.. saying that I rounded a bolt on my new MTB, using a torque wrench but it didn't click, few turns too much I thought hmm I'm sure this is tight enough.
