Even on that line though, you can see a gradient as to how the colour appears to change.

Heh that's weird, i'm on a crappy monitor here and A and B look the same now, I know what I've seen that before though and they've definately looked different.

The colour of the B appears to be darker than the colour of the A. Perhaps that's something to do with it...

Nothing special though, if you invert the colours in Photoshop, you get the same result.
