I thought the boss fight with the sorrow in MGS 3 was pretty freaky. It's not so much the character himself being scary, but just the concept of you having to avoid every soldier and character you've killed in the game whilst wading through a swamp which is on fire. If you've played it you'd get what I mean :)

I dunno about specifics but some stuff in Eternal Darkness on the dreamcast scared poo outta me.

the footsteps in the mansion mainly!

First Zombie in REvil, the cutscene where it's eating Kenneth, **** my pants at that.

Hunters from REvil, the first time you encounter one with the cutscene even had my Dad scared ********.

Dogs from REvil, first time they burst through the doors.

Zombies from REvil GC remake, absolutely terrifiying, best zombies in a game ever.

To summarise, pretty much everything from REvil, Capcom sure know how to scare the **** out of people. Shame the films are tripe.

Tingle in Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Any bloke dressed in a green costume rambling on about fairies is guaranteed to make me at least a little anxious!

Haha... seriously though, I can't say I've ever really been scared by a game, not recently anyway. I think the only time I've got a bit "errrr" was playing Doom 3 in the dark at about 3:30am.

The Crimson Heads from RE1: Directors Cut!

Every other zombie would shuffle around and lunge every so often whilst you unloaded bullets into them. These ones would literally sprint at you making you cack yourself, spin on your heel and go back through the door you just came through. Then just when you think your safe he follows you through the door making you cack yourself once more follwed shortly by death!

That and thos bloody pyramid things in Silent Hill 2. That game almost gave me a pathalogical fear of triangular shapes!!

You know I thought Fahrenheit for the PS2 was actually pretty scary in general. Especially the bit where he closes the cabinet door in his bathroom and sees the reflection of the guy he murdered behind him in the mirror. I had to stop playing it for a while after that :)

I cant remember the evil chars name... but when i was 8 my dad said he would treat me to renting a game out one Friday...

So we went to my local small video game store in which i had a choice of any PS1 game to rent out. He said " this one looks good "

Clocktower for the PS1.... I said ahhhh ok.. the description on the back just sounded fun...

I got home... put it on and remember running around a building and a door just opening (in game) and some sick guy flying out with this horrible music....

This guy was chasing me and i couldnt kill him.. i had no weapons or anything...

He killed me!!!! I just remember being so scared and getting a cold shudder down my neck and back!

Then on.... everytime i turned it on to play it and saw the door open i just had to turn the PS1 off!!!

:( sad times!

Oh and to be fair I couldnt play Resident Evil 1 because i was scared of the music in the house if that counts?
