Show us your storage hacks, initially I was interested in hackery for storing music of various formats, but this extends to absolutely anything.

I want to see the cunning and clever storage hacks you're still proud of to this day!

I've recently started using the 3D printed multiboard (pictures to follow) which has opened up many storage hacks for me, but woodwork, upcycling anything clever counts.

Why does everything have to be a hack now days? Its sounds like a brain dead term for people that are brain dead..

Custom then, if that's doesn't offend the brain dead people making brain dead comments on threads

We've gone a bit crazy on soft Ikea storage boxes over the last year. When they arrived it felt like we had far too many, but they've all ended up in use around the house - mostly to group together kids' stuff so it's neater and you don't get faced with a wall of multi-coloured junk when you open a cupboard or look at a shelf.

My main aim at the moment is to get stuff out of sight, to make the house feel a bit calmer. Not quite custom, but it has drastically changed the way we use a lot of spaces in the house.

Vacuum bags are amazing. Over the winter, I vacuum bag all of our outdoor furniture cushions. Keeps them clean, free from moisture, takes up less space and they easily fit in the shed!

I also use them for storing duvets as they take up significantly less space once vacuumed.

In terms of garage storage, tool chests and shadow foam are the bomb.

I was thinking about doing the same with duvets this summer. Which brand did you end up with?

You can turn a big 10-13 tog duvet into a 10cm flat pancake. It's such a space saver. I have tried a few brands over the years but have settled on storage master. They seem to stay sealed for a very long time. Other bags that I've tried start to lose their vacuum after 2-3 months and expand slowly. These don't. They also have a jumbo size which is good for getting large items in, like outdoor furniture cushions!

Can you recommend any, mum got some from couple of places but they are crap, she wanted them for her wool.

My grandad used to keep screws, nails and pipe tobacco in his amongst other things.

Separate jars mind, he wasn't daft.
In fairness for loose screws that don't have a home it's not a bad idea, could easily use the lids nailed to the plank idea to clip them into an under shelf multiboard mount.

Edit - It'll already be out there but if not, that could easy have a couple of connectors added to it :p
