Your ultimate gaming mouse

Tried most of them, if you are like me and loved the MS Optical then the Steel Series XAI is the one for you, very similar shape. Again people fail to realise there are 2 types of mouse style, claw and palm, most of the big branded mice are for palm, i just cant use palm mice.
 
i use a deathadder, absolutely love it, i firmly believe though if you spend enough time with a mouse that's the mouse you prefer, my hand at least gets used to it and if i use any other mouse i get really bad cramps down the outside of the hand.
 
The steelseries ikari is by far the most comfortable mouse I have yet used (I have the laser version). Beats all my previous razer, logitech and microsoft mice.
 
explorer 4.0 v2 but i break them so easily i got through 3 in a year buttons just gave up.

using a mx510 now its pretty decent but the feet have worn out already, still clicks tho which is nice.

Really? I've had this MX518 for about 3 years and the feet show no sign of wear. It's the old 1600dpi model too with the standard mouse feel, the newer models have the better teflon feet.
 
I was a major fan of the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3 and moved to the refreshed version when MS relaunched it. Then I found the MS Habu and love it. It's like a MS 3.0 but with Razer opticals.

I also have a Razer Mamba which is fantastic for a wireless mouse and I'm gradually moving over to that.
 
+1 for the Diamondback 3G. Me and my mate bought them from OcUK just before Xmas '09 and have never looked back :) Although I've had mine apart to fix the annoying squeak of the button :p

Razer Diamondback for me is just the best. fits my hand perfectly. It's not to light or to heavy. I've had it for ages and can't imagine having another mouse.
 
te swappable battery on the rat looks good (a few people here will be used to me begging for cover while i charge my mouse up for 30 seconds:p)

although that's only because i never bother to charge the thing, it is impressive though that a 30 seconds charge will buy the mx rev a good 10+ minutes of play time.

Fell into the same trap. I always wondered why I suck at FPS now and I think you've just nailed it. Well that and age/reflexes, but mostly the mouse :)

I was in PC World and noticed a gaming section. It's not just mice, keyboards are similar. It's like this is the gear professionals buy. A keyboard that looked no better than my £10 Microsoft curve for £70 and I could not believe it. A logitech keyboard with a screen and buttons for over £120.
