I quite often do this, especially when websites are asking for too much personal information, I have made up my own virtual identity. Am I paranoid, or are there people doing this as well? :o ;)
 
I do this on some websites, but it isn't a specific date of birth/address. I wish I had made some of this information up as it can come in useful. There is one forum where I use an alias, but I don't have any specific date of birth for if I wanted to join more than one. (I do however have 2 names I use other than my real name on forums).

I think I'm too willing to put in my real info sometimes. I should be a bit more selective about what information I publish on the net. I got an email announcement recently from uni warning people about putting posting personal information on forums and such-like. But some of the lecturers don't follow that advice :p
