Do you have to wear a uniform at work or even a suit or office clothes of some sort? This might give you some ideas about how to make that all important impression :)

However, be aware that you may have to do away with that all important accessory...

So go on, go and wash it off...

Having worked in a lab and now in IT I'm quite lucky to have avoided uniforms and all things smart so far.

So what do your clothes say about you?

Im pushing for hiphop clothing at work. (i.e our uniform based on hiphop style)It would be interesting to see what they say when my proposal comes back.

I used to wear combat trousers and a t-shirt and also I used to have mustard with my burger or steak at lunch!

I used to wear shirts and smart trousers. Then I descended to jeans and t-shirts too. Mainly because I realised that it really didn't matter, and if I had to lug servers around then I didn't really want to be wearing smart stuff.

Now I work from home and I wear whatever I want, in this weather that can mean just my boxers, or even less! ;)

Navy trousers, Blue T-shirts with Name and Company name. Or a boiler suit with name and company name. Depends on your choice. And safety shoes/boots. Pretty much bog standard for shop floor work in engineering.

What do you do at work? Unless it's something "hip hop" related I can't see them being overly receptive.
