EWWWWWW!

More than one in four commuters has faecal matter on their hands

43% of mothers don't wash their hands after changing their baby's nappy

95% of us claim to wash our hands after going to the toilet, only 10-12% of us actually do

This is why I clean my (shared) office keyboard, desk and mouse every day.

Seriously, wash your hands, they probably have poo on them.

pretty much every single surface in the world has poo on it. the mythbusters did a test to see how leaving toothbrushes in the bathroom vs in a sealed place elsewhere affected the amount of poo on it (if atall). it turned out that even the ones in the sealed place far from the bog had poo on it

My fiancee had poo poo hands quite recently actually.

Not entirely her own fault, a girl dropped her pen out in the street at which point my mrs picked it up for her, not realising said girl had just used the pen to clean the bottom of her shoe from dog poo

My mrs was not a happy lady lol

I wash my hands after the loo but at work and out in public I doubt it does much to help matters as once I've done so I'm going to have to open the door that someone who hasn't washed their hands has opened before me as will you in that situation!

My immune system has it under control.

I imagine for most people this is the case, and it certainly should be. being exposed to dirt and stuff as a kid is essential to build up you immune system which is why I think a lot of kids today will grow up to be weak and prone to being ill all the time!

Still, that doesn't excuse people from not washing their hands after using the toilet or using their phone while taking a pish (as some do from the other thread in GD).

Basic respect for hygiene and other human beings that might be genuinely ill or babies etc where bacteria could affect them due to weakened immune systems.
