You're Never Natural!

Just wondering if anybody has this regularly?

I appreciate this is mainly for the bigger guys, but would still value the input of others of course in that they might notice some things or have even considered the quick route.

I have never touched any form of steroid or anything anabolic. My only supplement is pure whey. No creatine or pre-workout powders etc. At nearing 19stone now I have in the last few weeks had lots of people questioning if I am using with a good portion saying words to the effect of "No way are you natural" or "you must have taken something to get you this big"

It normally takes one of my mates at the gym to re-inforce the idea that i'm not touching the juice. For the most part I ignore it, but it grates on me that people cannot appreciate that hard work and dedication can result in achievements.

Who cares?

Take as many steds as you want for me, it gives fantastic results at who knows what risk to your health.

Your 'reward' for being natty is 'possibly' better health, however at 19 stone smashing the protein even that is questionable.

I don't care as such, it just annoys that people question (some fervently) that its not possible.

I run, eat well and only have one protein shake a day (1scoop) usually after training. I wouldn't call it questionable :s

Worst "I am so big" OP ever. ;)

I rescinded my natty card when I started on that there creatine. Since dosing I have noticed absolutely massive gains in size of the area vacated by my hairline.

Should have been more careful - creatine is strong stuff...

No i'm not trying to say i'm massive, i'm very quiet and dismissive of it as I don't like the attention of it.

I'm just raising it as its happened 6 times in the last couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone else experiences it. Jeez, thought this place was credited as being supportive :s

No not ever, since at my gym, the steroid bods hardly did any work and the astute layabouts would go around keeping vigil and counting the amount of body builders with acne on their backs :D

Unfortunately, there has been so much cheating in sport in general in recent years that people are suspicious of anyone who's performance is above average.

The fact people are questioning you suggests you've done well. YOU KNOW the truth, why not take it as a compliment?

It's pretty much the human condition to assume that someone that is better than them has somehow achieved that through illicit means.

That said, as much as it is annoying, having a "good old laugh" at those guys that you have also assumed are on steroids seems a bit silly given your initial complaint, OP.

Ive seen people on the gear and Ive seen people who trained naturally, and I can be quite confident that the people I think are on the gear, are probably on the gear.

If I see someone and think "wow hes massive" , then 99% of the time that dude is juicing. Most people dont get huge naturally. If you think thats a bit of a sweeping statement, Ill just say that Im in the military and surrounded by guys who hit the gym daily. I know how people differ.

That's exactly it FrenchTart, its just annoying when you have someone come up and do the "injection action" insinuation into their arm and nod at you. Even more annoying when people are watching them do it to you as it sends out the wrong message and or makes you look like a tool or a liar (even if you are not).

Would agree with Hedge, I can say with some confidence those who are juicing and those who aren't. You can normally spot their cycles too.

Appreciate the more positive responses on this :)

Sounds like you go to a fantastic gym...

I've never had it because im not in the slightest bit big, but I have had people ask purely because I go to the gym? Which is an odd one.

As said though, why care? Why care about the people who see the whole 'are you on roids' thing? Unless you're trying to be friends with everyone in the gym? Just let people make their own minds up, because at the end of the day no matter what you say someone will always assume they know better

I'm not that big (well 100kg) but I've had the occasional idiot ask where I get my gear...

Just do your best to ignore them, my club knows I'm natural, my family knows I'm natural and my test results show I'm natural. No one elses opinion matters to me.

Points taken about the whole not caring thing.

It's one of those that doesn't bother you until some random comes up and starts questioning you on it and doesn't let up about it. I guess that is the issue really, not being asked but the constant nah you definitely on it, no mate, yeah definitely I seen it etc etc.

Live and learn, btw someone said not that big 100kg... Unless you 6'5"+ that is still a big body weight

As regards my gym it is a really good gym just the odd one or two but its also put of the place I had a comment or two.

To be fair they mustn't know much. Can't imagine many people being 19 stone naturally and looking muscular. Big and a bit fat maybe, but lean at 19 stone and natty? Nawwww, not a chance.

Yeah if you're 19 stone and not a fat lump, then I'd raise a few eyebrows too

Regardless, you look like you lift to the average Joe. Mission accomplished
