Does anyone get problems with some youtube videos only coming from one channel? the front left.

80% of videos appear fine but around 20% is just front left audio only.

I also noticed in the 5.1 sound tests that you play in a browser all the channels are totally messed up when I play them but when I do the 5.1 test built into windows or the one built into SB-Z control panel the sound is fine and each speaker is correct.

is it youtubes fault?

even AC5.1 video play fine locally it just seems to be content played in a browser but I can't for the life of me come up with a logical explanation as to why?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XZklKaQhi8 <=- left channel only for me on this video but for everyone else I'm assuming it's fine?

all my sound settings are fine, The the cable from my sound card to my speakers does have a broken wire inside it somewhere and occasionally if I knock the wire the sound will go dead quiet one one side or no sound at all from any channels but I simply knock the wire again and all channels are back on.

I don't see how this would only effect youtube videos anyway

For example
https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html
for me I get

Front left = front left,
front right = centre speaker
rear right & rear left = front right speaker

like WTF men? how can they come from the wrong speakers if the 5.1 test built into windows is fine and the 5.1 test on my soundcard control panel works fine :!?!!?!?!?!!?

z87 but not using on-board audio.
only seems to be youtube content that drops a channel and only specific videos

but as said 5.1 tests from websites are messed up too even though locally 5.1 videos play fine in full 5.1 sound.

I've had weird static twice, just seems to randomly appear and all sound has the static horrible noise like it's all muffled and messed up.

reboot and works fine again.

It's only started happening in the last 6 months or so, I'm not convinced it's a hardware error but instead some incompatibility with flash or whatever

I'm starting to wonder if it started when youtube switched to html5
