Youtube not loading on Ipad Air - Please help!

Hi there, my Youtube has suddenly stopped loading videos on my Ipad Air this evening and I've no idea why, please can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I've tried so far:

restarting Ipad several times
deleting and reinstalling Youtube
tried using wifi and 4G.

Try restarting your router.

I'm not at home mate, my Ipad Air is the 4G version though so I've tried 4G and wireless and neither make a difference.

The rest of the ipad works fine, the internet works fine, youtube is working in Safari too. So it's just something thats stopping the youtube app from working on my Ipad Air and its really annoying. I've been trying to sort it out for over an hour now.

Buffering like mad when something does start playing.

It's been a known issue, Youtube was down last night for various devices.

Oh right I see. Well I was trying everything for about an hour and a half and nothing was working and then all of a sudden is started working again and now it's fine. Very strange!
