They must have changed the cymbals, the ol' dtx used to have 1/4 cymbals.

its like the top version i believe, i know what you mean, what kit do you play? its not bad to play on, but i wish i could record my gretsch instead. sound quality turned out allright, recorded all straight to protools, and im off to a&e soon as ive damaged my foot big time, was in pain while recording this, and its got worse!

Ow - had a bit of a knee RSI from kickboxing, drumming and cycling that took ages to clear up. Hope you have a quick recovery.

I have a Roland TD6 KX, an additional Cymbal and Pearl Eliminator double.

A good example of the sound as it's recorded directly from the module using audacity (HD for the sound!):
(not me btw!)

A guy going through all 99 voices with the additional cymbal:

Mate, hate to ask this question here. But how good are you? Double bass good? Neil Peart good, or maybe Dave Grohl good? (disclaimer: he is a great drummer) I know it's putting you on the spot, but you always pop up on any drumming thread.

I'm not the most technical as in speed, but im pretty solid and a very good all rounder more of a groove drummer than anything.. i like to stick to beats more than fills, erm hard to explain really?

Theres a pretty basic video up above, its nothing special just testing out a new setup, at about 6/7am this morning. so yeah! and no im not making excuses but just got back from a & e they said no drumming for 2 weeks :(

Cheers man, I'm just curious, bacause as you probably know, being in a band, the hardest thing to find is a decent drummer, and especially one that realises that they should be working stuff out with the bassist, not the lead guitarist. I'm lucky enough to be half decent at both guitar and bass, but I prefer bass, and the amount of drummers I have gone through that can't start drumming to a random bassline I come up with. *RANT*

Thanks for the frank answer.

i can pretty much drum to anything if you look at the video up top its me drumming on the fly making it all up, not rehearsed! in our band we just improv live on stage i can play to pretty much anything, that anyone throws at me which is what good drummings all about isnt it?
