Someone takes a crack at singing the mad techno opera section from Fifth Element...and does a fine job of it.

Damn good stab considering it's played on a MIDI keyboard with really nasty switches in pitch for a human to do.

Try this:

And the same in an operatic context:

Why would you jump out? Protective crumple zones/airbags, etc versus potentially being run over by your own car.

Oh and sorry if repost

lol at 1:40 ish with the van that try like 8 times.

I agree it's a pretty strange way to react (though we can't see where the car is heading). From the YouTube entry -

This has been redone to conform with you tube's 'Privacy Policy'. I receieved a privacy complaint today, so hopefully this edit takes care of that.

Shocking driving condtions in Paignton on the busiest shopping day of the year. The car is barely moving but the hill makes stopping impossible and both people in the front of the car decide to jump out?????

The couple were warned by neighbours not to venture out that day and they were the only people to attempt to drive on that road. There were numerous pedestrians around who could barely walk on the black ice so a car really stood no chance.

Near the start of the video you can see a recovery truck. This had been stuck there, blocking the road for 3 hours and didn't move for another 2 hours after this incident.

The reason the video ends abruptly is because my wife and I raced downstairs to see if there were any injuries to the couple. Once I made it past the red cars in the right of the frame, it was clear that several people were seeing to the couple around where the car ended up.

Pretty obvious to see why many people are finding this so funny but believe me, not one person who witnessed this was laughing at the time. My wife and I felt physically sick, as did many others. Thankfully, the couple involved didn't suffer any serious injuries. More importantly, no pedestrians or children were hit by the abandoned car.

I'm trying to chase this story up. The singing in credited to Inva Mula, who is a real person and an opera singer. I've seen claims that in the extras on the DVD, it's stated that the singing was done for real. Yet all over the net people are saying that it's completely artificial. I've listened to the original and I'm fairly sure that at one point, for just over a second, there's a wind instrument in addition to the singer. I'm not sure how it was done in the original.

Try this:

That's good stuff. Technically excellent and she's singing it like she means it. I find soprano too high a pitch for my taste, but I can appreciate it done well.

I liked this well enough to find a (much better quality) recording of it and buy it:
