I personally like it due the blatant disregard for health & safety in some of their explanations of things. Such as squirting some diesel into a piston then smacking it with a hammer to make it fire, which is just one of many great things done.
A great series that. I remember watching it during daytime TV.
Unlike crappy documentaries these days that dance around a subject for an hour, which are filled with 'fascinating' sounding music and that are hosted by some fresh out of uni idiot; The Secret Life of Machines gave interesting hard facts and showed experiments to back them up on subjects that are every day and interesting.
