I was at Heathrow a couple of years when there was a young, extremely fit, woman in the queue in front of me, wearing tight jeans and a skin tight top and she was subjected to one of the most OTT pat downs I've seen. The (female!) security officer was getting a right good feel of her top and getting right to the top of her inner thighs.

When it was my turn I hope they didn't notice my semi.
 
I remember on an internal flight from Edinburgh to East Midlands a few years back an Italian woman going mental at the security staff as they unwrapped her 'special' collection of kitchen knives and tried to explain why, even though wrapped in a towel, it wasn't suitable for her to carry them in her hand luggage!
 
Security is a bit silly in some places, I landed at Heathrow and as I checked in or whatever they took my photo, 5 minutes later whilst going to the gate they asked for my passport and checked the photo they had literally just taken against the passport and myself, then the guy asked me some question as he still wasn't sure that I really was me :/

You should try Tel Aviv sometime if you want to see security! Luckily when I used to go a bit I had security clearance but I have seen people have 4 or 5 baggage unpacks/repacks and NEVER moan or else you'll be there for hours!
