First ever West Coast Delta IV launch - 20th Jan 2011 (complete with secret military/intelligence payload!).
What a beast of a rocket!

"No details were released about the payload. The NRO operates satellites that return information to the Central Intelligence Agency and US Department of Defense. Large imaging satellites of the type the Delta IV could launch would have remarkable resolution"

The cello duet I posted a little while ago led to the passing thought that maybe they'd been inspired to make it by becoming insanely bored playing Pachelbel's Canon in D (it's a horrible piece for a cellist to play - the same 8 notes repeated over and over again), which led me to the musician/comedian doing a rant about it as part of a standup comedy routine, which led me to some responses to it, including this one:


The sound quality is poor, but a solo harp version of Pachelbel's Canon in D is special and she plays it very well.
 

Totally shameless plug for a friend's band. Absolutely love the...basicness of it though. Percussion at 1:30 onwards, for example.

you may like or have even heard of the below band if you are from Edinburgh. Guy I used to work with did all their album work and hangs aboutr with the lead singer. I'm lead to believe they play in some Jazz bar round by Grass market
