Love their music, but can't tell if he's pro- or anti-Christian. This song, in particular, is a puzzle - there's a lyric in the second chorus that goes "Girl with a bird that she found in the snow/flew up her gown and that's how she knows", given the context of the rest of the song I think it's a metaphor for rape, but I'm just not sure.
