I wonder how drunk people were when they came up with the idea that ice hockey could be played on both sides of the ice. All you need to do is cut a hole in the ice so players can dive in and use a puck with enough buoyancy to stay up against the underside of the ice. You don't need proper diving kit - players can just hold their breath!
