We had three cockatiel's brilliant little birdies, one sounded like it was saying it wanted a cup of tea but the last one we had, I wanted to throw it to the cats. Wouldn't stfu, just squark squark screech.

Male birds seem to be far more vocal with clever sounds

Our african grey says coffee when I'm doing the tea/coffee

Quite amusing...You go:

"...Do you want tea or Coffe...?"
*Slight pause*
"COF-FEE!"

I remember sitting down with cup in hand sitting back and having a nice drink, " CUP OF TEA ". Bird flies over and sits on my shoulder, takes a number of side steps and looks at the cup.

" cup of tea "

I pass the cup to the bird, tip the cup slightly and it sips the tea

"mmmmmmmmmmmmmm" in a little birdy voice lol

Yeah mine is a male too and the female one rarely tries to be vocal, guess it's the way they are
