Thats about the height they fly past my house. :( Lost count of how many times the plane has been lower than me.

ANd i never have my camera with me when they do :(
 
Best we ever had was a chinook overhead, just a training/repair base somewhere near us. None of that cool F15 stuff.
I have actually been to that lake, I think it might be Lake Bala in the vicinity of a RAF base Anglesey (not car vicinity but supersonic jet yea i guess it is).
My closest Top Gun experience:cool:, boating on the lake beneath those things :o Stayed in the big house sitting on the lake left

Wales might get a lot of rain but its useful for the valley ridges like that all over. Afaik the reason for the heightened jet activity would relate to Afghanistan and its particular geography. I was there ten years before that war start and it was mostly the training jets back then

When I was a kid, on tv they flew above the entire coastline of the UK in a jet in 1 hour which is kinda incredible. Found it, slightly knackered lol
