I think the wire got caught in the blade which reeled it in like a yoyo and folded the chopper in half. /educated guess.

That was quite a wind that blew the cable into the rotors. Didn't it jump further up? I saw one guy fall out which was quite a fall but couldn't quite make out if the second fell?
