So who takes the modern Doomsayers seriously now?

Personally I always take them seriously, consider the evidence, weight the chances of it really happening - on the flipside though I don't get all paranoid about it actually happening, etc. but I do loosely subscribe to the "10th man principle".

Apart from the fact that your link doesn't work and you've added absolutely zero content to your own thread, we're then presented with a ... cartoon? ... with some outlandish voice over. The gist of which is 'the world hasn't ended yet' so therefore prediction of evidence-based likely outcomes is somehow flawed.

And all of that is funny because you're the home-schooling, fluoride-avoiding, CT-nut from many a great thread so I'd have thought you would have gone hard on the attack which your cartoon reliable media source is providing.

Look at all those idiots telling me that slashing up my femoral artery would kill me, I did it at least five seconds ago and I'm still perfectly fine.

How thick is wall?
Two Latvian look at clouds.

One see wall. Other see impossible dream.

Is same cloud.

Is joke from Latvia. I tell now.

Joke: Latvian try to cross river. Has dog, potatoes, and dead son's body. Can only take two across river at one time. If he leave dog with potatoes or corpse, dog eat them. Is very sad. Also is not good boat. Wall very thick also.

In the wise words of one mental forumite:

"I would watch this movie".

I loved Doom when it first came out on the PS1. My mate drilled a hole through one of his walls so we could play each other on the link up cable. Many a late night was had playing each other and them going home to sleep only for the 'Doom dreams' to continue.

I remember walking around and seeing rubbish bins as oil drums and wanting to shoot them with my shotgun.
