I wonder if the tin can ambush or tarp ambush ever actually worked as I don't imagine many tanks to be roaming about on their lonesome

MetaBalls makes animated videos comparing various things on a correct scale relative to each other and to other things where appropriate. Which I think is more interesting than it sounds. Here's a video they made about pandemics (which doesn't include the current one since it isn't finished yet).
I think this brings a point home - if you put each victim in a coffin 200cm x 66cm x 45cm, i.e. an ordinary size coffin, the dead from the second plague pandemic (aka The Black Death) would make an ordinary-shaped skyscraper over 3Km high with the upper reasonable estimate of casualties.
