Angry Joe was talking about Twitch's new mod system or whatever it's called and this person was playing in the background. I think if ever there was a case that proves that gaming can be detrimental to your mental health, to the point where you'd likely not function outside of the videogame world, this is it. Could you imagine this person walking in to a job interview and answering serious questions?

It could also all be an act, I have no idea anymore.

There is a load of videos relating to twitch council and this person online at the moment. I can see why really... Putting aside the deer thing, she holds some very extreme views about gamers and, rightly pointed out in a lot of videos on the subject, if someone on Twitch held and shared such extreme views about any other group of people they would be banned from the platform. She even made a video containing pretty much "Hate me if you like, there is nothing you can do about it!"

At first look at some of the things this streamer has said and done on stream you would think they are just trolling. Honestly, I don't think its an act at all. I really don't think its about gaming causing mental health issues but more along the lines of being bought up in such a bubble detached from reality and continuing to live your life with these views and being enabled by people that watch and donate to the stream.

Not too long ago someone that acted this way would have been put in a padded room but now its enabled under the guise of diversity and individualism along with being seen as entertainment.

As an outsider looking in to the current state of social media sites and all this PC rubbish, I find it all very confusing. I struggle with the concept of thinking that these are real, actual people of sound mind. Back in my days if someone behaved like this they would be treated very differently. I understand the whole "we must accept all" thing but I struggle to understand how far we need to take it, something which is obviously clouded by people who do this for attention or to troll others. My opinion of this person is that he/she should be sent to a psychiatrist for a bit of an evaluation, rather than given a platform like Twitch to spew her/his/its bile all over. Am I right in thinking this? Probably not, but I've not been involved with this whole social identity thing long enough to understand where the lines are drawn and how far is too far. I also suspect that many others are in this situation which leads to judgement and critique of what could be a legitimately healthy person, or someone who needs mental help. The fact that this evolution has taken place over the last 10 odd years doesn't help, those who sit on the internet for most hours of the day might be completely clued up on these things whereas folks like me who work and have a life off the internet occasionally get a little peek in to the weird internet world and see a change that would've taken 30 years a mere 20 years ago has happened since the last time I cared to look. It created a very large disconnect between those in the "real world" and those who inhabit these social media / content creation sites which leads to a self-feeding tension between these different kinds of people, one which will go on for all eternity.

It's weird. That man/woman/them/whatever in those videos is as far as I'm concerned very mentally unstable. Am I wrong?

This is someone who licks their "paws" on stream, has "deergasms", and often goes outside to "eat grass to fulfill balance their deerness" or something.

Anyway, I think that's enough internet for one day. I'm just gonna crawl back under my rock of blissful ignorance and pretend none of this exists before I end up with pincers or something.
