I just don't get how this is even possible. They're faster than speeder bikes in Jedi!
Jump to 7 mins where they're actually racing if you don't want to watch the whole thing.
And for the experts out there - I believe the title is misleading, apparently they're only doing 175-180mph and not 200 but still.. holy moly...
 
^ At first I thought it was just going to be someone be racist and just killing minorities, then I lost it at the furries convention. :D

Thing about the IOMTT is it's a time trial, as opposed to a side by side grid race. You're battling against the clock. Many of the road races in the season before and after the IOMTT are your standard battle against other riders.



Another thing to note is the conditions these guys go out and race in. They go tearing past at over 150 in rain which would usually have a short circuit race called off, despite short circuit tracks generally being safer. A couple of NW200 races were called off the last few years, but only because it was absolutely hammering it down.

There's so many road races in North and South Ireland before and after the IOMTT you're kind of spoilt for choice on which to go to.

I could never commentate on these things because of my continual use of expletives while I watch it. I felt tense during most of that.

I think these guys might even nudge those proximity BASE Jumpers out of the way when it comes to cojones size.

Definitely takes a special breed to do it. I like my bikes, but I just don't have the balls to do those speeds on them. The NW200 is local to me, so I drive or ride those roads almost daily and to think the guys in those videos are tearing along at well over three times the speed you do on a drive to work is crazy. The roads are sketchy enough in the wet at legal speeds.

This is the superbikes, he does go over 200mph in places. (not whole lap)
