This had me laughing so badly. I myself am, lets say a 'believer' but even I have to admit, this is so damn true.

It's the most obvious example too, as the key point is right there in the name - unidentified. "I don't know what it is, therefore it's aliens". Well, no. That's a belief, no different to "I don't know what causes it, therefore <insert god here> causes it".

He does get a bit hyperbolic about it, though. You'd have to take a handheld computer back at least a couple of centuries in "the West" before people would start thinking of it as witchcraft. Also, it's rather unlikely that you could successfully steal something from an alien spaceship if you were abducted and taken onto one as a prisoner/test subject.
