Don't worry, Japan produces it's own amount of crap that makes the crap in the UK top 40 look like Rembrandt works. Particularly their pop music. The last several months I've been listening to a lot of Japanese math pop / rock, indie and shoegaze. Some great bands. Some absolutely dire. One of my favourites at the minute is ?????? (Uchu Conbini / Outer Space Convenience Store).
