in the military, pilots are trained to move their eyes in opposite directions so they can look at their instruments and see out at the same time.

Hurling in first person mode using a GoPro :D

The thing that I always found weird about hurling, is the goalie was usually the only one not wearing a helmet. I know they've updated the rules a couple of years back. But prior to that most of the players wore helmets. The goalie usually didn't. It would be like an ice hockey goalie not wearing a helmet and having a sliotar flying at you instead of a puck.

Yeah it was about 5 years ago they made it compulsory for all player to wear helmets with face guards. Before that some players didn't, some did and some wore a helmet but with no face guard. Brave men the guys who didnt as I wouldn't fancy getting a smack in the face with a sliotar that could potentially me travelling at a speed of 100mph+
